The Polgar Foundation invites applications for highly talented 11 and 12 years old boys in football.
The aim of the competition is to find disadvantaged young people, especially Roma youth, who want to deal with football seriously, but lack the opportunity to attend a sports club or sports union that is necessary for the development of their talent and building of their football carrier.
The applicants' competence will be assessed by talent scout specialists. The names of the applicants achieving the highest scores will be added to the foundation's " Young Football Talent" database. The "Polgár" Foundation has an ongoing cooperation with the Hungarian Football Assosiation (MLSZ) for the talent management of promising young footballers.
This project is sponsored by the European Union and the National Development Agency.
The candidate should be:
- Born in 1997 or 1998.
- Coming from an underpriviledged background (financial hardship, rural location, etc.)
- At least one recommendation supporting the compliance with the above condition and the outstanding talent.
- The recommendation may come from a trainer, coach, P.E. or other teacher from the candidate's school or from any fotball knowledgeable person of the closer neighbourhood (eg. a CKÖ member)
The screening process involves trial matches that will be held at a nearby sports-ground according to the applicant's permanent residence. The applicants will be informed about the date and location in due time by mail.
